BRINGING HOPE TO CAMAU PROVINCE

 Camau is the southernmost province in Vietnam.  Much of the land is located in or adjacent to inhospitable mangrove swamps.  It is one of the poorest areas of Vietnam where it is difficult to travel and communicate.  Many residents do not have functioning electric power.  It has been reported that in one parish of a population of 22,000, there are more then 300 cases of birth defects.

These photos illustrate life in this area.  One can see the effects of low river tides on the resident's homes and lives.

SAOREF will endeavor to support the nourishment for children at the preschool age, illustrated in a photo taken at a church supported school.  We also hope to provide some small subsistence to some of the other families as well as those who have children suffering from physical and mental disabilities.

SAORE Foundation is a charitable organization, raising funds for physically disabled, mentally handicapped, needy and poor in Vietnam. The concept of this "Heart to Heart Mission" was born as a project to heal and improve relations between the United States and Vietnam. One hundred percent, (100%), of funds are used for carefully screened and selected humanitarian needs. There are NO salaries paid and administrative costs are minuscule or absorbed by SAORE Foundation volunteers.

Funds utilized by SAORE Foundation are distributed directly to the end users via non-governmental contacts or agencies.  Neither U S nor Vietnam governmental elements are in the distribution nor utilization chain
