 Father Martino is the priest responsible for administering Camau Parish Ao Kho Church in poor Camau Province, Vietnam, and the handicapped training center. He has taken under his wing local crippled, blind and handicapped youngsters and brought them together to learn music in order to improve their lives. In poor Camau Province, there are insurmountable difficulties which the handicapped face: very poor river transportation, limited medical rehabilitative services and schools not equipped with facilities for teaching the disabled.


Nguyen Ngoc Diep is 33 yrs. old. She plays the keyboard and sings folk songs with dazzling brilliance.

This results in a very bleak job outlook. By learning to play music and sing, there lies hope for entertainment job opportunities such as performing at local weddings, ceremonies and family parties. Father Martino is a man who effuses his constituents with eternal HOPE. He is a man of optimism. It is also under one of his parishes of a population of 22,000 that there have been reported more than 300 cases of birth defects.

SAORE Foundation is a charitable organization, raising funds for physically disabled, mentally handicapped, needy and poor in Vietnam. The concept of this "Heart to Heart Mission" was born as a project to heal and improve relations between the United States and Vietnam. One hundred percent, (100%), of funds are used for carefully screened and selected humanitarian needs. There are NO salaries paid and administrative costs are minuscule or absorbed by SAORE Foundation volunteers.

Funds utilized by SAORE Foundation are distributed directly to the end users via non-governmental contacts or agencies.  Neither U S nor Vietnam governmental elements are in the distribution nor utilization chain
