Who Are The Seawolves?

The Seawolves were a dedicated Navy air unit committed directly to the Gamewarden task force. The mission of the unit was to provide a relatively stable source of air support of Naval Units operating in the Delta Region of Viet Nam. Navy Crews and maintenance personnel would assure helicopter availability. HA(L)-3 is the Seawolf Unit Designation; it is the most unique squadron in the history of US Naval Aviation.  The Men of the Seawolves are also considered unique and extraordinary.

Under the operational control of Commander Task Force (CTF) 116, the Seawolf Helicopter gunships would support the PBR operations with fire support, reconnaissance, and medical evacuation services. The unit was often called upon to assist TF-115, US Army and Vietnamese Navy and Army units operating in the delta.

A small group of former Seawolves have bonded and go forward as a unified brotherhood to sustain each other and help "Others impacted by the Events that joined us together, as a coherent unit."  Our desire is to help, sustain, & support each other, while we seek to improve the conditions of others impacted during our union together in combat. We should serve as a model of American Dedication to Peace . We seek not to destroy; we seek to build.

Our Mission

The mission is to provide material and financial support and assistance, as the case may warrant, for persons in Viet Nam, and for children of US Veterans with physical and/or mental defects, (from birth), caused by exposure to dioxins contained in chemical defoliants used in the War.

The goal of this support and assistance will be to assist the affected persons toward self-sufficiency and/or to improve the quality of their lives.

The support will include, Medical and Training supplies, equipment and material.

Our Profile

Our contacts would identify needed items and help distribute these materials directly to the affected persons in Viet Nam.

Our efforts will be to procure materials, supplies, equipment, and funds.

We would acquire materials from suppliers and donors at no cost.

We will ship the materials directly using the funds we acquire.

We plan to raise funds by employing links to our website and appealing to veterans, non-veterans, private concerns and federal agencies.
